Brainware Group of Institutions is an educational institution of Information Technology, Management and Engineering courses located in Saltlake and Barasat in Kolkata which is affiliated to WBUT, Jadavpur University as Project-impact (mainly for Saltlake Campus) and West Bengal University of Technology (for Barasat Campus). This institute is affiliated with West Bengal State University in some courses and established in 1990 as a computer education centre in South Kolkata named Brainware. It is a co-educational college with Salt Lake campus established in 2005 and Barasat Campus established in 2010. Its Salt Lake Campus is known as Brainware Business School and Barasat Campus is known as Savita Devi Education Trust-Brainware Group of Institutions. The founder of these institutions is Mr. Phalguni Mookhopadhyay. ==Campus== Brainware Group of Institutions is built on the 9-acre Barasat campus, located at Barasat Kazipara (Near Jagadighata Market). It is a 5 minutes drive away from the Barasat Chapadali busstand and 10 minutes drive away from the Barasat Railway Junction. The nearest airport is Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport at Dum Dum, Kolkata. The institute has 4 main buildings - * INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY building which comprising the Information Technology, Computer Science & Engineering, Master of Computer Applications (MCA) departments, * MANAGEMENT building comprising the Masters of Business Administration (MBA) department, * ENGINEERING BLOCK-I building comprising the Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering departments * ENGINEERING BLOCK-II building comprising the Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering departments. The Central Library has more than 36,000 textbooks and reference books. The institute also subscribes journals, periodicals, proceedings, magazines which are available.
